The MULTI has 15 steam jets.

What are the red and silver packets I received, and how do I use them?

It is recommended that you check with your flooring manufacture before use. By attaching the carpet glide, the HAAN MULTI may also be used on carpets and soft surfaces.

    My screw is missing:

To locate your screw please check the small bag that contains the Lime and Scale remover inside your box. If you are unable to locate it, please contact customer care for further assistance.

Why does the MULTI not swivel easy?

The swivel head works on a spring system. If the mechanism was to loose, it could wear down the hinge and not be able to stand on its own. To maneuver the swivel head roll your wrist from side to side.

Does this unit come with attachments:

Yes. The MULTI not only comes with a carpet tray but also comes with specially designed attachments to be used with the head-held steamer. Included: Angle nozzle, Brush attachment, Small steam head attachment with cleaning bonnet.

When do I use the Bonnet?

The bonnet is used for any hard surface such as; counter tops, fridge, sealed tables, shower doors, tile, porcelain etc. Remove the bonnet when you want to sanitize your sofa, drapes or any other soft surface.

    Should the bonnet fit tight?

Yes. The bonnet needs to fit tight to the Mini Steam Head to allow the steam to flow through. If the bonnet was not tight fitting or loose, the steam would become trapped and not sanitize as effectively.

Can the MULTI be used vertical?

The hand-held steamer will work temporarily when used at an upward angle or vertical position; however the best position for the most effective clean is to use the SI70 in a horizontal position.

Why can't I see much steam coming from the hand-held steamer?

The MULTI is not a pressurized hand-held steamer like the HAAN ALLPRO, however the steam emitted from this machine is still powerful enough to clean tough messes and sanitize 99.9% of germs, bacteria and dust mites. The steam emitted from the hand-held portion of the MULTI is a very fine vapor that is very hot, which can result in the steam being less visible.

  • HD60 - HAAN Total FAQs

How often do I need to empty the bin?

It's best to empty the bin every time you use the sweeper. You may use water to rinse out the bin if debris does not easily fall out.

How do I remove or replace my brush roll?

If the brush is not turning, you will need to clean the rotating brush of buildup and carpet fibers. Remove the dust collection bin. Using a coin, unlock the brush roll removal door located on the side of your steamer head. Removing this piece will allow you to easily remove your brush.

Will the TOTAL replace my vacuum?

While the TOTAL may not completely replace the need for a full-section vacuum cleaner, using the TOTAL can reduce the frequency of vacuuming. And the sleek design, weighing only 8lbs, and an extra long 25-foot power cord make the TOTAL ideal for quick cleaning.

  • MS30 - HAAN Complete FAQs
  • How do I remove the water tank cap?

Allow the pressure to be released before completely removing the cap by holding down the steam trigger until all steam is emitted. Allow unit to cool down. This is a locking cap designed to be an added safety feature for this unit. To remove the cap you will need to treat it like a child proof pill bottle. First you will need to push the cap down; while the cap is pushed down you will need to turn the cap to the left for removal.

Steam is coming out of the top of the unit:

The cap is not on correctly. Unplug the unit and let it cool down. Once the unit is cooled, remove the cap, reinsert.

Where are the small attachments? (Copper brush, small brush, large brush, attachment nozzle and angle nozzle)

On the front of the unit below the power switch is a black compartment. This is an on-board storage area that holds some of your most functional cleaning tools.

My steamer's ready light keeps coming on

The unit is a pressurized system so it may need to re-pressurize from time to time. This is done for safety purposes. Try using the steam on-demand trigger rather than locking trigger in the on position. If your unit is re-pressurizing after only a short period of time (several seconds of steam emission), please contact customer care for further assistance.

How do I know when my unit is out of water?

Once the steam 'runs out', even after re-pressurizing you will know that the unit needs to be refilled. There is not an indicator light on the machine for water level.

Why is moisture is left behind after using my COMPLETE?

When using your HAAN COMPLETE, the emission nozzle should be close to the surface that you are cleaning. This will break down and blast away messes while sanitizing the surface. Water being left behind is normal as the pressurized steam cools and condensation occurs. This moisture can be easily wiped away with the included microfiber towels and sponges. Additional accessories are available for purchase at HAANus

    com or through customer care.

    Where is my cord located?

The cord is located in the back of the main unit inside the storage compartment.

Garment Steamers

  • gs30 - HAAN Professional Garment Steamer FAQs
  • How do I assemble my GS-30?

To assemble the GS-30, first insert the widest end of the telescoping pole into the main unit and secure by twisting the base ring until secure. Second, insert the hanger on the top of pole and press down until stable. Assemble the main hose onto the base by lining up arrows on hose and base and twist clockwise until secure. Set the steam head on the hanger between two prongs to rest while adjusting the telescopic pole to the appropriate height.

What are the extra accessories for?

The GS-30 accessory package will include a crease clip, crease tool, fur/upholstery brush, pressing board, pressing mitt, and a lint remover.

    • The crease clip is used by hand to safely hold the garment taut while steaming, to ensure the garment is not hanging loosely but also keeping your hand a safe distance away from the steam.
    • The creasing tool attaches to the steam head. When using the creasing tool, clasp the fabric between the steam head and creasing tool, then move in a downwards motion to create a professional looking crease.
    • The fur/upholstery brush attaches to the steam head and is used to smooth fur or upholstery with the brush bristles while steaming at the same time.
    • The pressing board and pressing mitt are used to support the garment while steaming, but also keeping hands safe from the steam. While holding the pressing board in your hand lay the garment across the board and continue to steam with the other hand. The pressing mitt can be used by placing hand with mitt on behind the garment for support, while steaming with other hand. When using these accessories you can place the steam head right up against the fabric for a smooth, pressed look.
    • The lint remover attaches to the steam head and will remove lint from garments. The lint that has been transferred from the garment to the lint remover can simply be pulled off to clean.

Can I use this on garments that are labeled "Dry Clean Only"?

Yes, the GS-30 sanitizes, deodorizes, and presses. Using the GS-30 instead of going to the dry cleaners is faster, easier, more efficient, better for the environment and better for your clothing.

Can I use the GS-30 on delicate fabric?

Yes. Wool, lace, silk, and other delicate fabrics are compatible with the GS-30. Because of the dry steam technology, these fabrics will not be damaged by the steam if the unit is operated properly. As always, if you are concerned, try a small portion of the fabric first.

Why is my water canister leaking?

Check to make sure that your water canister cap is not missing the spring and rubber stopper. If you are experiencing water leaking from the main unit, make sure that the excess water removal valve is in place and securely tightened.

Why is the hose is making a gurgling noise?

If the hose is used for an extended period of time in a bent state, the hose could emit a gurgling noise and water droplets may collect in the handle. If this happens, extend the hose upwards and hold for 2-3 seconds to allow the condensation to clear.

Why are water droplets collecting on my steam head/ Why are my clothes getting wet?

Water droplets can collect on the steam head when the steam wand has been used at an angle or the hose has been bent. Simply rest the steam head on the wand rest for a few seconds while the condensation clears. Keep in mind, you should not be steaming on an angle, or else water droplets may fall on your clothes. The steam wand should be moving only in light upward and downward movements for the best results.

Can I use my GS-30 on more than just garments?

A deluxe steamer attachment kit can be purchased for use on HAAN garment steamers. This helps make your garment steamer a multi-purpose machine. A steam expander nozzle, microfiber bonnets and a squeegee can allow you to use your GS-30 around your entire home on areas like countertops, mattresses, glass table tops, etc.

  • gs60 - HAAN Steam Station FAQs
  • How do I put my STEAM STATION together?

The main steam tank, adjustable pole, collapsible hanger, and steam tank base are the main pieces to put together when first receiving your unit. First, the widest end of the telescoping pole slides into the steam tank base, and the base ring must be turned and tightened until secure. The hanger is to be inserted on the top of the pole and pressed down until stable. The crossbar of the hanger locks into place at the center. Screw and lock tight against the center pole. The steam tank canister locks into place on top of the base similar to pieces of a puzzle. The steam tank canister will snap into place by pulling the black clasp back while sliding the tank into the designated slot. Once in place, the clasp is to be released, locking the tank into place. Pull the base "wings" out for stability.

Why is the steam head dripping water and/or leaving my clothes wet?

The best way to steam your garments is to hold the steam head vertically to avoid excess moisture from dripping. If the steam head is used horizontally or at an angle when steaming your garments, water droplets may drip from the unit leaving your clothes wet, therefore it is not recommended.

    Why is my pole loose?

On the base unit there is a black threaded base ring that is cone shaped. Once you have placed the pole inside the base ring, tighten the top portion of the base ring by turning it until the pole is secure.

The hose is very easy to bend and feels flimsy, what is it made of?

The inside of the hose is made of aluminum which is flexible. The outside is made of velour which works as an insulator but will also stay cool to the touch.

There is a strange smell when I used my STEAM STATION for the first time, is this normal?

Yes, there may be a slight odor emitted during the first use.

Can the STEAM STATION be used for other surfaces, not just garments?

Yes, the STEAM STATION has many attachments that are not just made for garments. Haan considers this product to be a "Garment Steamer and Home Sanitizer" because it is portable. With the STEAM STATION you can sanitize beds, curtains, linens, toys, camping gear, blankets and so much more. A deluxe attachment kit is also available for sale that can make this unit even more versatile with microfiber cleaning bonnets, a steam expander nozzle and a squeegee attachment.

Can I use this on materials that are very delicate like silk or lace?

You are able to use the garment steamer on delicate materials, for example lace and silk. It is recommended that you always use the steam head in an upright, vertical position on these delicate fabrics. If the steam head is tilted downwards, it is possible that water droplets could fall onto the garment and damage the fabric. Also, if a gurgling sound is heard while steaming, hold the steam head away from the garment while checking for any kinks in the hose. If the hose is bent, water droplets can collect in the wand. If this occurs, extend the hose upward so it is no longer bent and allow the condensation to clear.

  • gs20 - HAAN Personal Garment Steamer FAQs
  • How do I assemble my GS-20?

To assemble the GS-20, first insert the widest end of the telescoping pole into the main unit and secure by twisting the base ring until secure.

The GS-20 accessory package will include a crease clip, crease tool, fur/upholstery brush, pressing board, pressing mitt, and a lint remover.

Yes, the GS-20 sanitizes, deodorizes, and presses. Using the GS-20 instead of going to the dry cleaners is faster, easier, more efficient, better for the environment and better for your clothing.

Hand-Held Steamers

  • HS20 - HAAN AllPro FAQs

My steamer's ready light keeps coming on:

The unit is a pressurized system so it does need to re-pressurize from time to time.

Why is moisture is left behind after using my ALLPRO?

When using your hand-held steamer, the emission nozzle should be close to the surface that you are cleaning. This will break down and blast away messes while sanitizing the surface. Water being left behind is normal as the pressurized steam cools and condensation occurs. This moisture can be easily wiped away. Microfiber towels and sponges are available for purchase at HAANusa.com.

When I went to use the unit water came out. Why?

It is normal for some unit to dispense from the unit when initially being used. As the unit is heating up condensation builds up in the nozzle and when you use it for the first time, water may ne dispensed but will turn to steam momentarily.

The body to the ALLPRO gets really hot. I can't hold it. Why?

It's normal for this steamer to feel warm as it is a pressurized steam machine that uses a boiling chamber. Be sure to hold and direct the unit with the handle. If the handle is too hot to hold please contact customer care for further assistance.

Where can I find additional cleaning attachments for my ALLPRO?

Visit HAANusa.com or call customer care to replace worn out attachments or purchase new attachments to expand the cleaning functionality of this handheld steamer.

  • SI70 - HAAN Multi FAQs
  • Can I use the MULTI to sanitize my carpets?

Yes, the carpet glide tray comes with the MULTI so that you can sanitize your carpets, rugs, mattresses, sofas, etc.

How long does it take for the MULTI to heat?

The MULTI reaches in excess of 212° F, the temperature needed to create steam in about 20 seconds.

Is the clicking/thumping noise I hear normal?

Yes, this is just the sound of the water pump pumping water through the heating element to the base of the unit. In some units the sound will lessen after the unit heats up, but if it remains throughout the duration of the steaming, it is perfectly normal.

How many steam jets does the MULTI have?

The MULTI has 15 steam jets.

What are the red and silver packets I received, and how do I use them?

These packets are fresh rinse lime and scale remover. Depending on the frequency of use, use one packet every 3 to 6 months. Pour a packet of lime and scale remover into a tank with one cup of water and shake the water tank. Sitting the MULTI on the black resting mat, turn on the unit and allow the solution to steam through to clean the working mechanism and remove and potential lime and scale buildup.

How long does a tank of water last, and what is the tank's capacity?

The water tank holds 13.5 ounces of water, and this will last for up to 25 minutes of steaming.

Can I use the MULTI on any type of flooring?

You can use the MULTI on any sealed hard surface floor that does not have a wax or no wax finish. This includes hardwood, laminate, vinyl, stone and tile.

  • gs20 - HAAN Personal Garment Steamer FAQs
  • How do I assemble my GS-20?

To assemble the GS-20, first insert the widest end of the telescoping pole into the main unit and secure by twisting the base ring until secure.

The GS-20 accessory package will include a crease clip, crease tool, fur/upholstery brush, pressing board, pressing mitt, and a lint remover.

Yes, the GS-20 sanitizes, deodorizes, and presses. Using the GS-20 instead of going to the dry cleaners is faster, easier, more efficient, better for the environment and better for your clothing.

Can I use the GS-20 on delicate fabric?

Yes. Wool, lace, silk, and other delicate fabrics are compatible with the GS-20.

If you continue to experience problems, please contact customer care.

Can I use my GS-20 on more than just garments?

A deluxe steamer attachment kit can be purchased for use on HAAN garment steamers. This helps make your garment steamer a multi-purpose machine. A steam expander nozzle, microfiber bonnets and a squeegee can allow you to use your GS-20 around your entire home.

No, there is a regulator that controls the amount of steam released. Most vacuums run at 1500 watts and most steamers at 800-1500 watts. This together would blow a fuse. If you experience resistance then please have them attach it.

Is this a carpet extractor or shampooer?

No. This machine does not dispense water or detergent. It uses steam to sanitize, refresh and deodorize your carpets while debris is suctioned off of your floor by the vacuum.

  • SI35BCRF - HAAN Slim and Light Special Edition FAQs
  • What are the available colors for the SLIM AND LIGHT?

    White, Red, and Green

Can I use the SLIM AND LIGHT to sanitize my carpets?

Yes, the carpet glide tray comes with the SLIM AND LIGHT so that you can sanitize your carpets, rugs, mattresses, sofas, etc.

How long does it take for the SLIM AND LIGHT to heat?

The SLIM AND LIGHT reaches temperature (212 degrees) in under 30 seconds.

Is the clicking/thumping noise I hear normal?

Yes, this is just the sound of the water pump forcing water through the heating element to the base of the unit. Often times the sound will lessen after the unit heats up, but if it remains throughout the duration of the steaming, it is perfectly normal.

Why is the HAAN SLIM AND LIGHT leaving my floor wet?

Make sure that the pad is not attached to the unit when you are heating it up. This can cause your pad to become saturated very quickly and leave your floor wet. Pads need to be changed when they become overly wet.

How often should I change my Ultra-Microfiber pad?

Pads need to be changed about every 10-15 minutes. If you notice that your SLIM AND LIGHT is leaving behind excess water or your unit becomes difficult to push, place a new pad on your machine.

How many watts does the SLIM AND LIGHT use?

The SLIM AND LIGHT uses 1200 watts. (The FS-20 uses 800 watts, additional electric used to pump water from water tank to the base of the unit.)

How many steam jets does the SLIM AND LIGHT have?

The SLIM AND LIGHT has 15 steam jets.

Is there a way to adjust the height of the SLIM AND LIGHT?

The pole does not adjust height; the unit is 46.5 inches tall when assembled. The pole does slide out easily to use the SLIM AND LIGHT above the floor easily on areas like mattresses or counter tops.

What are the red and silver packets I received, and how do I use them?

These packets are fresh rinse lime and scale remover. Depending on the frequency of use, use one packet every 3 to 6 months. Pour a packet of lime and scale remover into a tank with one cup of water and shake the water tank. Sitting the SLIM AND LIGHT on the black resting mat, allow the solution to steam out through the unit to clean the inside of the unit and remove and potential lime and scale build up inside the SLIM AND LIGHT.

Do I have to use distilled water in my HAAN floor sanitizer?

You may use regular tap water with your HAAN, however we recommend that you consider using distilled water if you live in an area with hard water. Using the lime and scale remover can help lengthen the life of your HAAN when using regular tap water.

How long does a tank of water last, and what is the tank's capacity?

The water tank holds 13.5 ounces of water, and this will last for about 25 minutes of steaming.

Can I use the SLIM AND LIGHT on any type of flooring?

You can use the SLIM AND LIGHT on any sealed hard surface floor that does not have a wax or no wax finish. This includes hardwood, laminate, vinyl, stone and tile. It is recommended that you check with your flooring manufacture before use. The SLIM AND LIGHT is also safe for use on heat resistant carpeted and upholstered surfaces.

Does the SLIM AND LIGHT really kill germs?

Absolutely! Because the SLIM AND LIGHT emits steam through the pad in excess of 212 degrees Fahrenheit, germs, bacteria, dust mites and allergens are killed almost instantly.

How often do I need to buy new cleaning pads?

The two patented Ultra-Microfiber pads included with your HAAN SLIM AND LIGHT are reusable. You simply toss them in the washing machine - but please do not use fabric softener or bleach.
